Project Description

We partnered with Good Roots and The Dairy Grazing Alliance (DGA) to create two branded-style documentary films highlighting the people behind grass-based dairy farming.

Working closely with Good Roots, we shaped two separate stories: one featuring Master Cheesemaker Andy from Upland and Farm Manager Scott/Dean, and another following Joe and Abby Tomandl of Tomandl Farms. We captured interviews, day-to-day moments, and visuals that show the impact of mentorship, sustainable grazing, and the DGA program on family farms.

Our focus was on creating films that feel grounded and honest while clearly communicating DGA’s mission and the real-world value of their work in the dairy community.

Project Services

We provided full end-to-end production for this project. Working alongside Good Roots, we identified the farms and developed the overall concept. From there, our team handled pre-interviews, location planning, scheduling, on-site production, directing, filming, photography, lighting, and drone operation. We also managed all post-production, including editing, color, audio, and final delivery of all assets.

  • A smiling man in black clothes and a cap holding a camera rig in a field with cows grazing.
  • Two men sitting on a red utility vehicle outdoors in a green field with trees in the background. One man is holding a remote control, and the other is operating a camera mounted on a stabilizer rig, both wearing hats and smiling.
  • A man with glasses and a beard is filming outdoors using a professional camera stabilizer rig, standing on a grassy field with trees in the background.

Testimonials

  • “We hired Rooster Rooster on behalf of our client, the Dairy Grazing Alliance (DGA). Rooster Rooster took a technical subject and turned it into two beautiful, moving short films that really helped our campaign connect with viewers. They took the lead on all aspects of production and were awesome all the way from our first phone call to final delivery. Great communication and a beautiful result. Highly recommend.”

  • “I found the Rooster Rooster team to be very thorough in their preparation ahead of the visit in order to make sure they captured the talking points and video elements that we were looking for. They used their time and my time very effectively. The team was very thoughtful, courteous and professional …We received a great final end product that told the story we were looking for and met our marketing needs. I would definitely recommend Rooster Rooster for video marketing material.”
