About

As a video production and marketing studio specializing in branded documentaries, we partner with brands to tell authentic stories grounded in strategy and built to last.

With a background in marketing, we approach storytelling differently. Every project starts with clarity: who it’s for, what it needs to do, and why the story matters. Strong visuals matter, but meaning matters more.

Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rooster Rooster was created out of a desire to make work we believed in: high-quality, thoughtful stories for organizations & brands doing meaningful things.

We believe well-produced media has the power to shape perception, influence decisions, and create lasting impact. Telling someone’s story is a responsibility we take seriously, and every project is an opportunity to create something honest, intentional, and real.

  • Passionate about creating branded content through a cinematic lens, Austin brings over nine years of experience creating high-quality videos that inspire. He specializes in visually compelling narratives that connect people to place, purpose, and one another. His work spans short documentaries, national brand campaigns, corporate communications, and an Emmy-award-winning short. Filming in rural settings has always felt like home for Austin, often bringing out his most grounded visual storytelling. Combining technical expertise with a refined cinematic approach, he makes sure every project delivered looks great and achieves its goal.

  • Accomplished director and producer with over twelve years of experience in video production, Sara is focused on creating videos that inform, uplift, and inspire. She specializes in managing video productions from start to finish, including leading interviews, coordinating logistics, and shaping stories that honor lived experience. Having led campaigns for nationally recognized clients, docuseries for nonprofits, and grassroots social content, she brings deep experience in translating complex ideas into accessible, emotionally resonant content. She’s also passionate about equality in storytelling and works to ensure every voice is captured with care.

  • Cinematographer with a focus on outdoor sports and recreation, Jake Ammann brings a grounded, intentional approach to capturing real moments in motion. He specializes in working in dynamic environments, using natural light and thoughtful composition to create images that feel immersive and true to place. Whether filming action-driven sequences or quieter moments outdoors, Jake’s work emphasizes authenticity, energy, and connection to the experience.

  • Motion graphic artist and editor, Simon has a gift for turning raw footage into meaningful, story-driven content. He’s drawn to projects that balance strong visual storytelling with purpose-driven messaging. He’s proud to do this with an eye for inclusive design. Simon’s background includes animated explainer videos, documentary shorts, and even the visual design of an internationally released video game. His thoughtful touch helps ensure our edits are as intentional as they are engaging.

  • Outdoor cinematographer and enthusiast, Andy brings a down-to-earth background in video production having spent years as a Director of Photography with Discover Mediaworks. His television credits include Discover Wisconsin, Into the Outdoors, and Uniquely Wisconsin, where he shot rural and environmental stories across the midwest. He has shot projects nationwide, including documentaries and extreme sports productions. Andy has a particular strength in capturing natural light, dynamic environments, and real-world action.
